The '03 Turf at gorgeous Santa Anita Park put together a stellar field: defending champion High Chaparral; European top horses Sulamani and Falbrav; the best American turf horse that year in Storming Home topped the field. Also in the running were the improving The Tin Man, Teddy's favorite horse Balto Star, and Johar, who ran for Richard Mandella, who had already won two races on the card. The race that followed was even better than expected.
